Property accounts for about 20% of the total assets of many companies; thus, making it an important asset class (Edwards and Ellison, 2004). To investors, property as a source of income, inflation hedge, and a portfolio diversifier make it a unique investment asset class that requires enormous expertise and data requirements to combine optimally with other asset classes.
